Diabetes
Colorado State University Extension, Family and Consumer Science Agents of northeast Colorado have historically partnered with local entities to join in the fight against Diabetes. Now, with the help of technology these educational opportunities are not just limited to the northeast area of Colorado, but across the whole state and nationally with the implementation of a Diabetes Webinar Series. Doctors, professors, Diabetes educators and other healthcare professionals are able to share their expertise about diagnosis of, treatment of and management of Diabetes. All webinars are recorded, archived and links posted for viewing anytime.

Zumba® and STRONG Nation™ Group Classes Join Deeona each week for two great workouts! Zumba® is a fun, energetic dance workout that utilizes Latin dances and music to encourage you to MOVE! Each class is different! Every instructor brings their own style and energy to the class. Dance styles include salsa, merengue, reggaeton, cumbia, belly dance, and many more. All you need to bring is water and yourself. Be prepared to sweat! Have you heard of or tried High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)? STRONG Nation™ is a new HIIT workout that is set to perfectly synced music. No counting reps and no dancing involved! The workouts are designed and then music is specifically created to fit the workout. This is a great workout for those who are more comfortable with traditional workout moves. Experiencing Loss of Income can be Devastating
Financial, mental, physical, emotional and relational health are key components of well-being. Stable and successful individuals, families, and communities are important to the growth, development and health of our society. When people are in a state of financial and relational wellness, they are in control, confident and focused. They have greater balance and stability so they can concentrate on the most important tasks at hand such a weathering difficulties and making progress toward their goals. Family and financial stability education creates strong communities.

A Sample Annie’s Project Course Curriculum
In January, Annie’s Project programs will be offered in Yuma and Washington Counties. The Yuma class will be held at the new Northeastern Junior College campus in the old hospital building on Tuesdays from 6-9 p.m. beginning January 21st. The Akron class will run on Wednesday evenings in the Courthouse Annex from 6-9 p.m. beginning January 22nd. Both classes will run through the end of February.
With generous support from Risk Management Association and local sponsors – Premier Farm Credit, Bank of Colorado, TBK Bank and Farmers State Bank, this 18-hour course is very affordable. The cost for the course is $60 per person, which includes a workbook and support materials for all sessions. A light supper will be served before each class at 5:45 p.m. Course size is limited to 20 participants, so please register soon.
